Tell Us A New Vision

So much of our growth and development is stagnated by our insatiable need to be entertained. When was the last time you turned off the television for a week? When was the last time you unplugged from the interweb for a week? How about just no social media? How about a relaxing book?

How much of your daily existence has become locked in the ones and zeros crafted by someone else? When was the last time you crafted or created something? What are you consuming? What is consuming your time? What is consuming your thoughts? How long do you plan on being a consumer of another’s thoughts? How long will you avoid creating your own? How much of a master is one who can only play well in another’s game?

As always, I simply ask the questions. Of course, I do suggest that you allow yourself time to filter. Maturity is a reflective process. You can’t possibly grow without first burying yourself within yourself. The great Dr. Francis Cress Welsing stated that maturity can’t be achieved when we are too focused on others. We must come from outer space, and travel through inner space.

Take time for your own thoughts. Spend a few hours in the interweb of your own neurons. What are hearing? Let your electro-magnetic mind reach you. Speak to your own television. Tell yourself a new vision.

Bring forth a new thinking by writing these thoughts down. What grand thoughts are you creating? Share them…
